Midwest Bible and Spiritual Life Conference September 6-9, 2012 at the Cedars Camps

For instance, on Friday morning our 2012 conference theme – Healing and the Kingdom of God – will be explored by four TED lectures. TED lectures are focused presentations that do not exceed twenty minutes in length. Each one will be followed by a brief question and answer session.
Following lunch the four morning speakers will offer further explorations of their remarks in concurrent breakout sessions that will be more interactive and allow individuals to choose the sessions that most speak to their own interests.
On Saturday morning, we will have a deep dive into how to study biblical texts…using, as a case study, the book of Ephesians. This book has great insights on the character of church fellowship and how to support a local faith community’s practice of healing…in all its breadth and depth…as well as how to witness to the Kingdom principles that formed Jesus’ primary preaching message.
Saturday’s extended lunch will involve a three-course world café discussion of the ideas presented and our response to them. The mix of people will change at each table with the change of courses, and there will be new questions to discuss as well. Following some reflection and activity time, panels and sharing forums will continue through the evening.
